School of Education Student Organizations
Involvement in student organizations is an important part of college life. This involvement allows students the opportunity to meet peers with similar interests, develop leadership skills, and build a resume and network for employment after graduation.
Elementary Education Student Organization (EESO)
The purpose of the SIU EESO is to provide pre-service teachers of elementary education with resources and support services. EESO's goals are to assist students in developing the skills that will enable them to become effective teachers in an elementary setting. EESO gives pre-service teachers opportunities to attend conferences, earn scholarships, and meet other students in the program.
